Maria Caterina is Senior
Researcher at CERGAS SDA Bocconi School of Management where she works since
1994. Academic Fellow SDA
Bocconi School of Management, Government, Health & Not for profit Division. She holds the MSc degree
in Management of Public Administrations at Bocconi University. Her research interests
revolve around the use and impact of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) on
decision making in Healthcare. Economic Evaluation of Medical Technologies and Cost
of Illness Studies. Budget Impact Analysis of Innovative Medicines for Market
Access. Health Policies analysis and evaluation in a national and comparative
perspective. Governance of Medical Devices, with a focus on national and
international Regulatory Systems for Vigilance and Post-Market Surveillance of
Medical Devices; Disease Management and Process Re-engineering in Health Care. She was for 10 years
Coordinator of the Firms’ Network Associated to CERGAS (Pharmaceutical and
Medical Device Companies), coordinating many congresses and workshops to
provide strategic and knowledge support services. Maria Caterina is author
of several publications in international and national journals, a book and
several contributions to books. She has been for many
years member of the Editorial Board of Mecosan.
